Overview and History
CETP (cholesteryl ester transfer protein) is a plasma protein that mediates transfer of cholesteryl esters and triglycerides between HDL and other lipoproteins. The listed items—rs1532624, rs247616, and rs708272—are single-nucleotide variants (SNPs) in or near the CETP gene that have been identified in population genetic studies and are used as markers of inherited variation in CETP-related biology.
